Barbara (Holt) Mc Intyre age 96 fell asleep in the arms of Jesus on Dec 15th 2017 born in Athens Alabama she resided in Cincinnati Ohio for many years attending Lafayette Bloom High School and the Springfield Baptist Church she arrived in Passaic in 1952 with her sister the late Annie Ruffin
Barbara was a barrel of fun she had a laugh and squeal that could wake up the dead! wherever and whenever she was in the house you knew she was there. Barbara loved life and she loved her Jesus,
She had been a faithful member of the Union Baptist Church since 1964 where she was a member of the Nurses unit, and the Mothers Board and she was the late Rev Johnson's personal 'cut buddy" don't mess with him when she was around.
Barbara was a regular member of the Passaic Senior Citizen Center and enjoyed all the bus rides to Atlantic city and the shopping.
She was a lover of life who enjoyed swimming at the beach, her dog ,traveling, and dressing up ,she always had everything matching from head to toe for her working days at the Fair and Jacobs Dept stores had taught her polish and style, you could spot her getting on or off a bus in Passaic or at Shop Rite" sharp at a tack."
She was proud to say she was a Republican !! for the last 15 years.and had been married 3 times.
Her taste in food did not vary much for her one and only favorite foods was Chickin" and fries which I and many others enjoyed bringing her . Her last and final year could no longer include solid food or liquids
and she tried to make the best of it until see could no more.
Barbara departed this life on December 15 2017 at the Chestnut Hill Nursing Home for a life up yonder with her Mom and Dad the Late Minnie Lee and Giles Holt her sister the late Annie whom she missed so very very much.
