Ruby Mae (Betha) Barkley was born March 3, 1944 in Sandersville Georgia. Daughter of the late Charlie Earl Betha and Thelma L. Betha. Ruby was a loving, mother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who loved her.
In addition of her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother- in-laws Wilbert Graham and Jeffron Crockett, and her niece Gwendolyn Lay.
Ruby was a very hard and dedicated worker. She worked at Sam Steel factory for over 10yrs. Then proceeded to work at General Hospital (central supplies) for over 20yrs, as well as part time at Chestnut Hill (as a nurse Aide) for 5 years before retiring in 2000.
She was survived by three loving children, Charles(Tonya)Barkley Fuquay-Varina, NC; Tanisha (Trent) Johnson Passaic, NJ; and Brian (Shana)Adams; sisters Jetwyne Graham Aliquippa, PA; Anna Mae Betha Anaheim, CA; and Clara Crockett Passaic, NJ; grandchildren, Kaira Perkins, Chadd Barkley, Jazz’mon Barkley, Alyah Barkley and Zarria Jones, Brian Adams, Nacin Adams, and Aasod Adams; special nephews Wilbert Graham, Emmanual Lay and a host of great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She also leaves to mourn special sister friends Mary Tooley, Clem Battle and Elmarie Watts.
